Xiaomi will not make 4G smartphones focus on 6G connectivity
New Delhi: Both Xiaomi and Redmi companies are continuously launching new smartphones in the market since the beginning of the year 2020. Most of the phones launched in China are equipped with 5G connectivity.
Now the CEO of the company has informed that by the end of the year 2020, the company will stop making 4G smartphones. However, the company will stop making 4G handsets only for China. That is, in other countries, the handset with 4G connectivity of the company will continue to be available.
Focus on 6G and satellite internet preparation
The CEO says that the company is now preparing for 6G connectivity and satellite internet. Interviewing a news agency, he said that 5G connectivity is revolutionizing areas like 4K / 8K video conferencing applications, cloud gaming, and autopilot. That is why the company is continuously launching 5G smartphones in the market.
Recently launched Redmi 10X series
The company has recently launched the Redmi 10X. Most specifications in the Redmi 10X and Redmi 10X Pro are the same. Both the smartphones have a 6.57 inch AMOLED FullHD Plus display with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels.
The aspect ratio of the screen is 20: 9 and the refresh rate is 60 Hz. Both phones have an octa-core 2.6 GHz MediaTek Dimension 820 chipset and Mali-G57 GPU for graphics. Explain that this chipset has a 5G modem integrated for high-speed internet support on both SIMs. Smartphones have an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Both Redmi 10X series phones run on Android 10 based MIUI 12. These include features such as Always-on-Display themes and SuperVolpapers. Redmi 10X series is IP-53 certified, which means that phones will be safe in water and dust.
For connectivity, both phones have dual SIM dual 5G standby support, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC (only in Pro models), GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port.
